MUSIC star and MTN ambassador, Harrysong says he’s dedicating the 2010 Hummer jeep he bought weeks back to his grandmother.
Revealing this in an exclusive phone chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, December 6, 2014, the Five Star Music artiste also known as Mr. Songz said the wondrous ride that cost him over N12 million is a testimony he’s inclining towards the best his granny ever wished for him.
“I dedicate my new baby (the Hummer) to my grandmom who has always wanted me to succeed in
life. I thank God Almighty she’s alive today to see what I have become in life. Better things are even on the way, Mama. I thank you for your prayers and blessings.”
Asked why he went for a Hummer jeep, Mr. Songz said he wanted something classy and big. He also explained that the 2010 Hummer jeep is rugged.
Reminded he has other posh automobiles and doesn’t really need his new ride, Harrysong clarified he only has a Toyota Camry while he’s channeling his funds to property, entertainment and good causes.
“You know I’m not frivolous. I’m a serious mind. I account for every kobo I sweat out. Trust me, I can’t afford to be wasteful, considering where I’m coming from. While we don’t make noise about our investments, I can assure you Harrysong can’t lose focus.”
Not a few of Mr. Songz’s fans had raised passing objection to his acquisition of the N12 million Hummer jeep. They had argued he would have made do with his functional Toyota Camry and invest wisely. But the Beta Pikin crooner whose iconic tribute song to late former South African president, Nelson Mandela secured him a Grammy invitation, has now explained, he is on the right track, investment wise.
On Five Star Music label owned by multi-millionaire businessman, Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), Harrysong who once had a stint with Kevin Lucciano’s troubled Questionmark Record, would forever be grateful to his buddie, Kcee, maiden winner of NBL’s Star Quest, and the pop star behind the monstrous hits, Limpopo and Pullover.
