Hulk Hogan Wins Sex Tape Lawsuit Against Gawker, Awarded $115million For Damages

Hulk Hogan has won his lawsuit against Gawker and has been awarded $115million in damages by a jury in Florida after the website posted a leaked sex video that showed him engaging in sexual intercourse with his best friend's wife without his knowledge. 

The jury awarded Hogan $55million for economic injuries and $60million for emotional distress. 

Hogan broke down in tears in the courtroom as the jury's verdict was read.

A New York court sentenced an ISIS supporter, 32 year old man Mufid Elfgeeh, to 22 and a half years in prison on Thursday for trying to recruit fighters to join the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) in Syria. Elfgeeh owned a pizza shop before he was arrested and convicted of providing material support to the group.

A four-year-old boy who was dipped into a bathtub with scalding hot water by his step mother as punishment  has died police said. Police were called on Wednesday morning to the home in Ohio by the boy's father who found that his son wasn't breathing.

The boy's father told the Police that his son, Austin Derreck Cooper, had taken a bath with his wife 25-year-old Anna Ritchie before he was put to bed. He told the police:

Nigeria Ranked 103rd Most Happiest Country In The World

Nigeria has been rated the 103rd most Happiest Country in the World according to the United Nations World Happiness Report 2016 which was released yesterday March 16th. Denmark was rated the First Most Happiest Country in the World while Burundi was rated the least happiest country in the World. Burundi was preceded by Syria, Togo, Afghanistan, Benin, Rwanda, Guinea, Liberia, Tanzania and Madagascar.

ECWA Arrests "One Chance" Robbers In Jos

The man and woman pictured above are alleged to be part of a robbery gang that specialize in robbing motorists along the Jos-Bukuru road in Plateau state. They operate by driving a red golf car as a means of transportation and when unsuspecting passengers enter the car, they rob them of their belongings. They were arrested along ECWA staff quarters close to Farin Gada in Jos yesterday March 16th. 

FG Permits SON To Jail Substandard Product Dealers For A Decade Without Fine As An Option

The Federal Government has given authorization to Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) to imprison dealers who sell substandard products. They said SON has the authorization to jail defectors for ten years. SON has since started with Tyre dealers. They have given a 24 hours ultimatum to tyre dealers all over the country to destroy every fake tyre in their stock or face 10 years imprisonment without any option of a fine.
Acting Director General of SON, Dr. Paul Angya, gave the ultimatum at a stakeholder’s forum for tyre dealers in Lagos, stating. He said fake tyres have been the leading cause of several deaths in the country based on a recent report by the Road Safety Commission. Adding that out of 8,986 accidents recorded in 2015, 722 were due to tyre bursts, which has led to the death of 446 persons
